Let us know if we can hook you up with accommodations. Just tell us how much you want to spend and what you want the place to look like.

The following is a list of must-do rides if you are staying in Grand Junction.

1-10 Rating (1 - kiddy coasting ride - to 10 - carrying your bike)

Mountain Rides

  • The Ribbon-  Downhill single track, super fast slick rock that winds into a stream bed with a bunch of drop-offs.  Rating 7.  (2-3 hours)

Fruita Trails

  • 18 Road. Spend a day out there and you can ride all of them. Hard packed single track smooth, dirt.  Knife edge scary but not dangerous. Super fast. Rating 6.  Full day of trails. Directions to Trailhead: Take I-70 west of Grand Junction to the town of Fruita. Once in Fruita, go east until you hit Maple road. Take Maple north to N 3/10 Road and take a right. Follow this road to 18 Road, and take a left. Follow 18 Road north. Once the pavement ends, continue for another 4.3 miles to the parking area.

  • Mary’s Loop Area (Beginning of Kokopelli Trail
    system). Just past Fruita
    by 10 miles. Rocky technical desert. Easy to hard trails. Rating 8. Full day of trails.
    Directions to Trailhead: From Grand Junction head west on I-70 for 15 miles to the Loma exit. Take a left at the top of the exit ramp and cross over the interstate. When you come to a "T" in the road, take a right and drive towards the truck station. Where the road meets the truck station exit take a left, cross a cattle guard, and keep going up. The trailhead is 1/2 mile up the road. Park along the service road, and hit the trail.

  • Lunch Loop area-  Short out and back 1-2 hour rides. Great for after dinner or early morning before breakfast rides. Rocky hill climb, great view of city.  Rating 7. See Grand Junction area map.

  • Palisade Loop - 26 miles

  • Fruita Loop (Fruit Loop)

  • Cold Shivers down Little Park Rd. -- 26 miles

  • Up and Over the Monument - 40 Miles

  • Debeque Cut-Off - 60 Miles

  • Lunch in Mesa - 65 Miles

  • River Front Ramble - 10 miles

* All rides start and end in Downtown GJ.
